A Monkey Teaching a Dog to Wrestle is "Russell Madness"

Despite getting flu shots, our holiday was shot when everyone in our house came down with the flu. There has been a lot of aches and pains, coughing and wheezing, and watching movies with talking dogs act out adventures on the television screen the last few days. It is amazing how live-action movies featuring talking dogs and puppies kept my kids glued to the TV for hours but in this case since it helped make a miserable situation more tolerable I won't complain about them watching too much television since it cheered them up when they were sick. With that in mind, it also seems a good time to remember to pick up a copy of the newest "doggie adventure" movie - RUSSELL MADNESS - for our home video library when it comes out in Spring 2015 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.  This is a great addition for kids to watch in the car on a long road trip, a child to enjoy during a sick day from school, or for everyone to enjoy over a bowl of popcorn for a family movie night.

This all-new family adventure is the first feature film from newly-launched Air Bud Entertainment, the creative force behind the #1 live-action, direct-to-video movies in the family category. The exciting action-packed adventure introduces ‘Russell,’ an adorable TALKING Jack Russell Terrier who accidentally becomes a professional wrestling superstar, on the way to discovering the true power…of family.

RUSSELL MADNESS is directed by ‘Air Bud’ and ‘Buddies’ veterans Robert Vince, written and produced by Robert Vince and Anna McRoberts.  The movie stars John Ratzenberger (‘Toy Story,’ ‘Cars,’ TV’s Cheers), Fred Willard (TV’s Modern Family) David Milchard (TV’s Convos with my 2-Year Old), Mason Vale Cotton (TV’s Mad Men and Desperate Housewives), McKenna Grace (TV’s Crash and Burn and The Young and the Restless) and John Hennigan (former WWE star) along with the voices of talking animal stars including Will Sasso (TV’s ‘MadTV’ and ‘The Three Stooges’) and Sean Giambrone (TV’s The Goldbergs).

RUSSELL MADNESS tells the story of Russell, an undersized but big-hearted terrier who dreams of having a family of his own.  After running away from his pet store, Russell gets taken in by The Ferraros, a family desperate to revive their grandfather's pro-wrestling arena.  That's when they discover their new pet pooch has incredible wrestling skills.  With help from his coach, Hunk, a savvy and hilarious monkey, Russell rockets to the top of the pro wrestling world and bacomes a famous sports superstar.  But then a dishonest promoter double crosses the Ferraros, Russell will face his biggest challenge!

Keep an eye out for RUSSELL MADNESS being distributed by A Geek Daddy Blog's friends at TWENTIETH CENTURY FOX HOME ENTERTAINMENT in early 2015. #RussellMadness
