Paddington Bear Returns

2015's PADDINTON movie was a family-friendly romp through London following the adventures of that loveable bear from the iconic children's book series created by English author Michael Bond.  My kids were delighted by PADDINGTON which we saw at the theater and have enjoyed watching it at home on television on numerous occassions for family movie nights.  It has become one of my family's all-time favorite movies to watch together.  So we're all excited that a sequel is coming to North American theaters on January 12, 2018!

In anticipation of PADDINGTON 2, we've been reading about London and learning more about the furry little guy who is always polite but has an unfortunate knack for getting himself in trouble.  Warner Bros. Pictures sent us a cute Paddington Bear doll, complete with a marmalade sandwich held within his paw, and a pop-up book about the movie which have really got the kids excited about going to see the new movie.  What high jinks will that bear be involved with in PADDINGTON 2?

Settled in with the Brown family, Paddington the bear is a popular member of the community who spreads joy and marmalade wherever he goes. One fine day, he spots a pop-up book in an antique shop -- the perfect present for his beloved aunt's 100th birthday. When a thief steals the prized book, Paddington embarks on an epic quest to unmask the culprit before Aunt Lucy's big celebration.

PADDINGTON 2 is rated PG by the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) for action sequences and mild rude humor.  Directed by Paul King, the movie stars Hugh Grant as the film's antagonist, Hugh Bonneville (Henry Brown), Sally Hawkins (Mary Brown), Samuel Joslin (Jonathan Brown), Madeleine Harris (Judy Brown), Julie Walters (Mrs. Bird) and Ben Whishaw as the voice of Paddington.
