Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Half-Shell Heroes Blast To The Past

What do you get when you combine two of my son's favorite things: dinosaurs & Teenage Mutant Ninja Turles? Nickelodeon's Half-Shell Heroes: Blast To The Past!  Debuting Sunday, November 22, 2015 @ 11 a.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles accidentally time travel back to the Jurassic Era in a 2D-animated one-hour television special Half-Shell Heroes: Blast to the Past.  During their adventure the Turtles encounter friendly dinosaurs from the past and dangerous aliens from the future who have a nefarious plan under way.  Using their ninja skills and have some fun along the way the four turtle brothers must find a way to save the day and get back to their home time period.  Throw in some super-sized robot action into the mix with aliens, dinosaurs, and ninjas and you're going to have some ecstatic kids watching this show!

To coincide with the new TV special, Playmates Toys, the company behind the popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toy line, is introducing a collection of dino-themed toys.  These Half-Shell Heroes: Blast To The Past toys will be available in 2.5-inch figure two packs each containing a Turtle action figure dressed in caveman-style with a fully poseable dinosaur.  The 2-packs consist of Leo & Triceratops, Donnie & T-Rex, Mikey & Brachiosaurus, and Ralph & Pteranodon.  These toys are recommended for children 3 and up and are available at major retailers now for $6.99 each.

There is also a Golden Book available based upon the television special aimed for children in the preschool through second grade age range.  This 32 page hardcover book which follows the same storyline as Blast To The Past is great for reading to little Turtle fans or perfect for early readers to read  themselves.

Half-Shell Heroes: Blast To The Past is a special part of Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle series which launched Season Four on Sunday, October 25th.  New episodes normally premiere on Sunday mornings at 11 a.m.  During this 26-episode season, the half-shell heroes will embark on their most epic adventure yet -- outer space!  The Turtles joined by a cyborg known as Fugitoid hurdle through space meeting strange and bizarre alien creatures and combat galactic monsters all in race against time to save planet Earth.
