12 STRONG MOVIE GIVEAWAY

I was looking forward to seeing 12 STRONG when it was at theaters, but alas never made it to see the movie when it was on the silver screen.  So I appreciate that Warner Bros Home Entertainment reached out to ageekdaddy.com about providing us a Blu-ray/DVD/Digital combo pack to see as well as one to giveaway as part of their announcement that the movie will be available on video beginning May 1, 2018.  Who else would like to add 12 STRONG to their home entertainment video library? 12 STRONG is set in the harrowing days following the 9/11 terrorist attacks within the United States.  It tells the story of an elite U.S. Special Forces unit led by Captain Mitch Nelson (played by Chris Hemsworth -- Marvel Studio's THOR) who are the first American soldiers sent into Afghanistan.  Nelson's team is dropped into the remote, rugged landscape of northern Afghanistan where they must convince a local tribal leader to join forces with them to fight their common adversary ... the Taliban and their Al Qaeda allies.



The film is based on Doug Stanton's non-fiction book Horse Soldiers which delves into how American special forces accustomed to state-of-the-art warfare have to adopt the rudimentary tactics of Afghan horse soldiers to gain their respect and support.  Working together these new allies tackle overwhelming odds against a ruthless enemy that does not take prisoners as they attempt to take control of key territory in an effort to pry control of the country away from the Taliban and the terrorists they are harboring.
