DRESS UP FOR FREE DIA STAR WARS EXHIBIT TICKETS

Have a Star Wars costume handy?  Dress up in it and head down to the Detroit Institute of Arts on May the Fourth for a chance to get some free tickets to the upcoming "Star Wars and the Power of Costume" exhibit that opens at the museum on May 20, 2018.  The first 200 people who arrive in costume and agree to participate in a 6:00pm Star Wars Day group photograph on the front steps of the DIA will each receive 2 VIP tickets to the Star Wars exhibition.

"This will be a really fun event and we look forward to seeing the creativity of Star Wars fans as they don their best costumes," Elliot Wilhelm, DIA curator for the exhibition, remarked to A Geek Daddy about the DIA photo op. "It will also be a good time to get additional exhibition tickets for friends and family because there is no online service charge when buying them while at the DIA."

Star Wars and the Power of Costume will be on display at the DIA from May 20 - September 30, 2018.  Get a close up look at iconic costumers from the first seven films of the Star Wars saga ranging from Queen Amidala's lavish gowns to Darth Vader's imposing black armor. Also on display will be concept drawings and design artwork used in the production of the films.  Star Wars fans aren't going to want to miss out on taking a trip to the DIA to check out this exhibition.

Exhibition Ticket Prices

Adults: $19 Tuesday - Thursday, $24 Friday - Sunday; Wayne, Oakland and Macomb county residents receive a $5 per ticket discount.

Youth ages 6 - 17: $7
