The hit theatrical sensation HAMILTON is coming to Detroit's. Fisher Theatre, March 12 – April 21, 2019. This musical stage show tells the story of America's Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington's right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation’s first Treasury Secretary. The play features a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B, and Broadway musical styles. HAMILTON is the story of America then, as told by America now.
Gates to New Center Park will open at 6 p.m. and seating is first come – first served. People are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs and plan accordingly for weather. You can sing along from the crowd but there is also an opportunity to jump on stage to perform yourself in front of everyone.
