CHRISTOPHER ROBIN

Of course you have to snack on HONEY while enjoying a Winnie-the-Pooh story! We had a friendsgiving celebration having fun with coloring pages, eating biscuits with honey & watching Walt Disney Studio's Christopher Robin. Our friends over at Disney sent my family a special gift basket filled with a special Hunny Pot Jar that had a Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Code Combo Pack tucked inside it so we could see the movie before its official home video release. They also threw in a cookbook filled with honey themed recipes and some of that delicious sweet gooey stuff to fill up our bellies while enjoying the movie.

The kids had a good time coloring some Christopher Robin activity sheets featuring the characters from the movie. Which is your favorite? Piglet, Eeyore, Tigger or Pooh Bear? My daughter loves Piglet, my wife adores Winnie-the-Pooh and my son is fond of Eeyore but I have to say Tigger is my favorite. Tiggers are wonderful things after all! Their tops are made out of rubber with bottoms made from springs. They are bouncy, trouncy and pouncy! Tiggers are fun, fun, fun!

Bring home Christopher Robin for an entertaining family movie night beginning November 6, 2018 when it is released on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital. Enjoy these free coloring pages of favorite Winnie-the-Pooh characters that are featured in the movie courtesy of Walt Disney Studios. Just download, print out and you are good to go! My children love to color and this is a great activity to add some extra fun to your Christopher Robin family movie night.

In the movie, Christopher Robin -- now an adult living in London with a wife and young daughter -- receives a surprise visit from his old childhood pal, Winnie-the-Pooh. With Christopher's help, Pooh embarks on a journey to find his friends -- Tigger, Eeyore, Owl, Piglet, Rabbit, Kanga and Roo -- who have disappeared from the Hundred Acre Wood. Christopher Robin embarks upon an adventure back to his childhood stomping grounds which reunites everyone for the first time since he left home to go to boarding school as a boy and inspires the lovable bear and his gang of friends to travel to the big city to help Christopher rediscover the joy of life.

In addition to being an amusing movie that all ages will enjoy.  It is rated PG for "some action" but to be honest I don't know why this isn't rated G. It is a heartwarming story filled with humorous situations and touching moments without any scenes that I thought would be concerning for children to see.

Christopher Robin also has an important message for parents about being present in the moment with your family.  As Christopher's wife points out to him during an argument about focusing too much on his job and not enough on their family. She says to him "You are working so hard for a better future you are missing out on your life which is going on now right in front of you." With some help from his childhood friends from the Hundred Acre Wood, Christopher obtains a new perspective on priorities.  We all have professional and personal matters that can pull us away from our families and this movie is a nice reminder that we need to make time to be present in the moment with loved ones. Embrace that thought by spending some time watching Christopher Robin with your family.

I assure you Christopher Robin will make an excellent addition to your home entertainment video library. It is one of those movies your family will watch over and over again.  For more information about the movie, head over to movies.disney.com/christopher-robin.

We baked up some hot biscuits and drenched them with honey as a treat to eat while watching Christopher Robin. My son and daughter thought this was a sweet snack! I'm sure Pooh Bear would agree! Pick up some honey and a Blu-ray, DVD or Digital edition of this movie to have yourself a splendid family movie night. It will be fun, fun, fun!

A Geek Daddy received a Christopher Robin Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Combo Pack for free along with some other promotional swag from Disney. Opinions expressed in this blog post are honest and my own.
