NEW STAR TREK MODELS AND BOOKS COMING FROM MASTER REPLICAS

There has been a gap in the availability of cool displayable models of Star Trek spaceships since Eaglemoss, a manufacturer of licensed collectibles for a number of sci-fi brands, went out of business a few years ago; but Trekkies can now look forward to the upcoming Star Trek Starships Library being produced by Master Replicas for some great new offerings. Launching this summer, with preorders available now, Master Replicas, under license from Paramount Consumer Products, will be producing a new series of reference books and 4” to 5” long model ships.

Master Replicas Star Trek Library will provide collectors with in-depth reference to some of the most historic Star Trek ships while offering them the opportunity to hold the models in their hands. The palm-sized models will be made of a combination of die-cast metal and ABS resin and will measure between 4” and 5” long. They have been made with careful reference to the original visual effects models featured on the shows and movies and then carefully painted to be as accurate as possible. 

Each model comes with a specially designed stand that can be combined with the book to create a display.The books will cover each ship in detail with annotated plan views of the exterior, an in-universe service history, a behind-the-scenes account of the ship’s appearances in the Star Trek franchise, and information about how and why it was created with new interviews with the creators.

The first three books and models being released in July 2025 are: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds) U.S.S. Cerritos (Star Trek: Lower Decks) U.S.S. Enterprise (Kelvin Timeline). New ships and books are expected to be released each quarter by Master Replicas. 

STAR TREK ACTION FIGURES FROM MASTER REPLICAS

Master Replicas has announced it has signed a wide-ranging deal with Paramount Consumer Products to produce Star Trek toys and collectibles including action figures as well as replica phasers, communicators and tricorders. 

“A new range of 4.5” action figures is going to be at the center of what we’re doing,” Master Replicas Creative Director Ben Robinson told ageekdaddy.com. “Our mission is to bring the fans items they have never had before. Our rights cover the new shows including Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Star Trek: Picard, Star Trek: Section 31 and the forthcoming Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. I’m delighted to say that we’re also going to be bringing fans the first ever 4.5” Star Trek: Lower Decks action figures and the cast of Star Trek: Prodigy starting with Rok-Tahk.”

Unlike other manufacturers, we’ll be releasing new figures every month, starting with Spock and Admiral Picard. As fans ourselves, attention to detail is incredibly important to us and we’ve been poring over the reference material to make these some of the best figures anyone has ever seen. Every figure will come with accessories and we’re even planning some exclusive online variants that come with original fabric swatches from the Star Trek costume department.”

In 2025, the range will expand to include playsets, toy ships and landing party equipment. “Our goal,” Robinson concluded, “is to make products that fans thought they would never be able to buy, with all the love and attention that they have dreamed of.”

Are you geeked about new Star Trek toys and prop replicas coming on the market? The initial imagery of the action figures look sharp; but I am a bit disappointed that Master Replica isn't going with a 1:12 scale to be compatible in size to other toy lines like Star Wars Black Series, G.I. Joe Classified, Marvel Legends, Operation Monster Force 6" sizing. Do you plan on direct ordering Star Trek action figures from the Master Replica website? MASTER REPLICAS STARGATE PUDDLE JUMPER

I miss the Stargate television shows! I tuned in or programmed my VCR to tape every week the new episodes of Stargate SG1, Stargate Atlantis and Battlestar Galactica that were broadcast on the Sci-Fi Fridays cable tv lineup. If you are a fan of these shows like I am, Master Replicas has some impressive die-cast models featuring spaceships from these science fiction franchises available on their website. I actually have one of their Colonial Viper replicas on display in my home office to show off my fanship of Battlestar Galactica.

I was GEEKED to discover that Master Replicas is also selling Stargate themed diecast replica models. In fact, they are taking preorders now for a 2025 release that should excite Stargate fans... the Puddle Jumper!  The Puddle Jumpers were Ancient ships that flew through the Stargates to different locations in the Pegasus Galaxy. In the Stargate Atlantis tv show, these spaceships were the primary mode of transportation used by the SG team in their adventures. 

Master Replicas based its model on the original VFX files used on the show, making it incredibly accurate. The model itself measures just under 6” (15 cm) long. This version of the Puddle Jumper shows the ship with the engine pods out.

Other Stargate Atlantis and SG-1 models available from Master Replicas include the Daedalus, the Goa’uld mothership and Death Glider, the Pegasus, the F-302, and two Stargates. The Puddle Jumper will cost $64.99 and is expected to ship in April.
