Our family has had some great experiences with Budsies. This company takes people's drawings and transforms them into impressive plush creations. My kids have dreamed up an alien, dinosaur and a sunglasses wearing sunflower that Budsies has turned into real life toys.
Now Budsies is giving families a chance to win their very own Budsie stuffed animal or doll. Just have a child do a drawing of an original character they create with his or her imagination that fits into the theme "Fairy Tales in Fall." Then post the drawing on Facebook and/or Instagram using the hashtag #BudsiesArtContest2019 and tag @Budsies for a chance to have it made and mailed to you for free. Enter this exact caption with your picture on Budsies' Facebook Wall or your Instagram feed: “Entering @Budsies sweepstakes to bring our art to life as a real stuffed animal #BudsiesArtContest2019.”

My daughter accepted a secret mission from MIB headquarters this summer to draw an alien that BUDSIES could transform into a unique plush creation that she could snuggle with during a family movie night that we were invited to have when MEN IN BLACK INTERNATIONAL became available to add to our home entertainment video library. MEN IN BLACK INTERNATIONAL arrived this week on Blu-ray, DVD & Digital and so did our special BUDSIES alien that along with the movie is getting a lot of love at our house full of sci-fi geeks.
My kids had a lot of fun awhile back imagining up ideas for BUDSIES to transform into real life plush creations that we shared here on ageekdaddy.com. BUDSIES is a service that takes drawings that are submitted to it and turns the artwork into BUDSIES custom made stuffed animals and dolls that will be mailed to your doorstep. So my daughter was excited to have another experience creating a BUDSIES alien for the home entertainment release of MEN IN BLACK INTERNATIONAL.
Creating an alien to watch MIB INTERNATIONAL with was such a great match for this movie which takes us on a new adventure with the clandestine agency that protects the Earth by policing visitors from outer space. We've encountered adorable, crazy and dastardly aliens in previous Men In Black movies and this new addition to the Sony Pictures sci-fi film franchise takes us on a globetrotting adventure as MIB agents go into action to prevent mysterious alien technology from causing an apocalyptic disaster.
This new MIB movie introduces audiences to new Men in Black agents from around the world with Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson joining together again following their Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Endgame appearances to lead this film's cast ensemble. They are joined by Kumail Nanjiani (The Big Sick), Rebecca Ferguson (Mission Impossible -- Fallout), Rafe Spall (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom), international dance phenoms Les Twins (Laurent Bourgeois & Larry Bourgeois), Emma Thompson (Late Night) and Liam Neeson (Taken). MEN IN BLACK INTERNATIONAL, directed by F. Gary Gray (The Fate of the Furious) is now available to add to your home entertainment video library via Digital, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD.
The Men in Black have always protected the Earth from the scum of the universe, but in this new chapter of their story, they also must deal with a terrestrial threat. There is a mole in the Men in Black organization. Will MIB be able to save the day again?! You'll have to watch MEN IN BLACK INTERNATIONAL to find out!

Transform a child's drawing into a plush creation at budsies.com. Submit artwork to Budsies and they will create custom stuffed animals and dolls that will be mailed to your doorstep. What kid wouldn't be amazed to have something they dreamed up crafted into a real-life huggable plush toy?!
Budsies challenged my son and daughter to come up with some creative ideas to show off their service to our ageekdaddy.com audience. The kids spent a few days imagining what they wanted to create and drawing artwork for us to submit to budsies.com. When they were finally satisfied with their sketches, I scanned and downloaded them onto the Budsies website.
My children's Budsies just arrived! Time to do an unboxing of their customized plush creations. So without further ado check out our brand new Budsies:
My son is fascinated by dinosaurs so he decided to make his own combining characteristics from some of his favorite creatures. REXY is both fierce and friendly with sharp claws and teeth but also a warm, soft belly to rub. He decided to create REXY because we've blogged about some fun dinosaur themed expeditions and my son thought his Budsies plush creation would be a nice way to keep reminding him of the fun ageekdaddy.com adventures we've had together.
My daughter loves flowers so she decided to create one that could be snuggled at bedtime. She had a budding sunflower made inspired by the "bud" in Budsies. Her flower has a sunny disposition showing a warm smile and shows its cool personality by wearing shades. This plant also gives out hugs with its leaves that resemble outstretched arms. Unlike the plants in her garden this is a flower that can be cuddled with.
The kids are delighted with their Budsies! These plush toys brings to life children's creativity and imagination through a personalized experience that provides boys and girls with cherished play companions that are sure to become memorable childhood keepsakes. Budsies has absolutely earned A Geek Daddy nod of approval for the topnotch quality of the products and service they provide. From the ordering process and delivery to the excitement and enjoyment their customized plush toys have brought my children, this company is exceptional.
Dream up your own stuffed animals, dolls and plush toys from budsies.com. They also make Petsies, replica's of family pets, and selfie dolls that look like people. Head over to their website and check out all the wonderful products available at budsies.com.
A Geek Daddy received the featured products for free to review. Opinions expressed are my own. This is an honest endorsement of Budsies based upon my personal experience with the brand.
Wow! What kid wouldn't love having his or her doodles and drawings turned into a toy that can be hugged and played with?! Thanks to a service called Budsies children's artwork can be transformed into custom stuffed animals and other plush creations. Budsies brings to life children's creativity and imagination through a personalized experience that provides boys and girls with cherished play companions that are sure to become memorable childhood keepsakes.
The nice folks at Budsies reached out to ageekdaddy.com challenging my son and daughter to dream up their very own plush creations to share with our audience. Challenge accepted! They had a fun evening drawing up all sorts of ideas. Magical creatures from fantasy lands, new Pokémon video game characters, and comic book style super heroes were all ideas that were sketched up by the kids.
My son finally settled on a dinosaur that he imagined up named REXY. Combining characteristics from a variety of his favorite, REXY is a dinosaur that is both fierce and friendly. He decided to create REXY because we had recently enjoyed a day full of dinosaur themed activities and my son thought his Budsies plush creation would be a nice way to keep reminding him of the fun times our family spends together.
My daughter loves flowers so she decided to create one that could be snuggled. Inspired by the "bud" in Budsies, she created a budding sunflower. Her plush creation shows a sunny disposition and highlights its cool personality by wearing shades and showing a warm smile. Loving a good hug, her sunflower also has welcoming leaves that resemble outstretched arms. She is so excited that unlike the plants in her garden this is a flower that can be cuddled with.
With their drawings complete, I scanned the artwork then submitted it to budsies.com. From there the company has designers that craft unique plush toys inspired by the drawings we submitted. They then create a custom 16" tall stuffed animal or doll that is promised to be incredibly detailed based upon the imagery that they received. Orders can also be upgraded to enhance the size of your plush creation by super-sizing it to 30" tall.
We stuck with the 16" variety but I did enhance our order with Budsies "Sneak Peek" upgrade option. This had Budsies send me a picture when our plush were completed. With this upgrade, I was able to take a look at our Budsies before they were shipped out to us and suggest revisions to the products.
So I just received our Sneak Peek and have to say the kids' Budsies look perfect! I didn't need to request any changes and authorized them to send us our custom plush creations right away. Check out our Budsies Sneak Peek for yourself:
The kids haven't seen these photos yet. I'm going to let my son and daughter be surprised by how great these plush toys turned out when the packages arrived and we unbox them. Of course, I'll be sharing this experience with all of you when our Budsies actually arrive and provide a close up look of the actual REXY and SUNFLOWER when my kids get their hands on them right here at ageekdaddy.com.
