TOY COMPANY HONORS DECEASED EMPLOYEE WITH COLLECTIBLE CAR

Last year ThoughtFull Toys suffered a tragic loss when 30-year old sales manager Trevor Floyd unexpectedly passed away from heart failure after he had just been promoted to the position and moved into a recently purchased home with his wife Anna and their two young children, 1-year old Cora and 3-year old Caleb.  In honor of Trevor who was thought of as a close friend as well as team member by his fellow employees the toy company is being thoughtful to their colleague's memory and supportive of his family by producing a limited edition collectible Modarri toy car in his honor.

Modarri toy cars are customizable with mix and match pieces that have real steering and suspension mechanism to provide a fun play driving experience. Trevor loved ThoughtFull Toys' Modarri brand! He had incredible child-like excitement every time a new car was released.



So ThoughtFull Toys is producing 500 limited edition T2 (Trevor Floyd) Modarri cars which will be sold for $100 each.  T2 was Trevor's nickname at ThoughtFull Toys and 100% of the money generated from the sale of these collectible cars will be donated to Anna, Caleb, and Cora.  This Limited Edition T2 Modarri car which has been named after Trevor is decorated in his favorite sayings and incorporates the names of his wife and children into its design.

CUTIE FRUITIES

My daughter had some summer picnic themed fun getting an advance preview of brand new collectible toys called CUTIE FRUITIES that are scheduled to arrive on store shelves across the USA on June 1st.  Never mind how your mom told you to never play with your food when it comes to these snack packs that come filled with scented fruit character plush toys.

Available in either in a Fruities Basket or Minis Cup the characters you discover are a mystery until the packages are opened up.  There are eight large sized possible characters to discover within Fruities Baskets including kiwis, pineapple and watermelon.  Each Cutie Fruities Minis Cup is filled with three smaller sized random scented plush characters from over 40 in all to discover.

She started off opening the two Minis Cups that Magic Time sent us to check out.  You have the chance of finding common, rare or limited edition characters in each one.  "Hey Dad! They smell great! my daughter exclaimed. "These are sweet!" I do believe that is a positive endorsement from my little girl.

Next up was the Fruities Basket.  After the excitement of opening the Minis Cups, she was full of enthusiasm to tear into it! What could be inside this picnic basket looking package?

It was a big kiwi! But guess what that wasn't all.  It peeled open to reveal four scented plush fruit slices inside. A whole fruit family of plush cuties was inside the package.  Also included was a removable sheet of fruity stickers as well as a backdrop scene imprinted at the bottom of the basket so it could be used as a playset with your CUTIE FRUITIES plush figures.

Based upon the smile CUTIE FRUITIES put on my daughter's face they've earned A Geek Daddy nod of approval.  Keep an eye out for them on store toy shelves this summer. FLUSH FORCE

If your kids like potty humor as much as mine they are sure to appreciate these new FLUSH FORCE collectible toy mini-figures from Spin Master.  The theme of these toys revolve around the scenario that a toxic sludge spill has contaminated the city's sewers mutating things that have been flushed away by people.  Now these odd creations are making a splash returning to the surface world through toilets.  While they may look creepy all these Flushies really want to do is have fun playing with children.

There are a 150 figures to discover in the first wave of the FLUSH FORCE that range from common to ultra-rare to find.  Creatures like alligators, dogs, insects, and fish living in the sewers have been transformed into new odd forms and the garbage washed down there has turned into bizarre  lifeforms.  Croco Bile, Crabby Apple, Dank Dentures, Dope Soap,  Eew Eel, Rubber Chucky, and Sour Suds are some of mutated creations being brought to life by FLUSH FORCE.

A big part of the enjoyment of these type of blind pack toys for children is the mystery of discovering what figure is awaiting kids hidden inside. Spin Master is enhancing this fun factor with its new flush-to-reveal packaging format.  Kids flush out mini-figures by adding water to a mock toilet and shaking it to reveal characters floating in its bowl.



In addition to making the activity of opening a toy package extra fun by adding water into the mix, the water color plays a part in giving kids a hint of what type of characters they may find inside the toilet bowl.  If the water is clear than there is a commonly found figure inside.  But if it is green there is a rare Clogger lurking in there.  If it turns purple that is even better yet with a super rare Unflushable emerging from it.



We received a couple of FLUSH FORCE Filthy 5-Packs to try out from Spin Master.  These each included one toilet and five Flushies characters along with a collector guide and instruction sheet.  Two of the Flushies were hidden inside the toilet and three were wrapped up outside of it within each of the packs.  FLUSH FORCE characters are also available in an 8-pack and 2-pack.  Plus there is a Collect-A-Bowl Stash 'N Store Case that has flushing sound effects and comes with four exclusive figures.

WHIFFER SNIFFERS ARE A SWEET TREAT FOR EASTER

My daughter loves Whiffer Sniffers!  She's covered her backpack with these amusing plush caricatures of sweet treats when school started last fall. They aren't just fun to look at but also are great to sniff as each one is slightly scented to smell like its featured treat.  The school year is almost half over and kids still excitedly run up to her before and after school to get a smell of the Whiffer Sniffers decorating her backpack.  The scents on these backpack clips last for about a year but are also designed so the smell is only noticeable up close so as not to be prominent or overpowering when carried around.  These really are a great way for a child to personalize his or her backpack.

A new Spring collection of Whiffer Sniffers has been released just in time to make for a great addition to a child's Easter Basket, especially for those who suffer from food allergies.  My daughter has a severe peanut allergy and most of the Easter candy sold in store holiday aisles isn't safe for her to have either because of ingredient or contamination issues.  So the Easter Bunny avoids bringing candy and leaves a basket filled with non-edible goodies for her each year.  This year there will be a bit of a twist on that theme though as my daughter will find some sweet treats in her Easter basket that don't present a risk to her --> the newest Whiffer Sniffers to add to her collection.

The whimsical designs and variety of smells incorporated into these plush backpack clips have delighted my daughter so I'm sure she'll be thrilled to find some additions to her collection.  In addition to showing them off, kids also have fun collecting these cute plush creations.  Whiffer Sniffers release new product in waves and retires older versions after awhile so you should be on the lookout and pick up the ones you are really interested in before they can't be found anymore.  The Spring 2017 wave includes a red jelly bean (Jay Bean), cinnamon roll (Howie Roll), bottle of grape soda (Izzy Sodalicious),  ice cream cone (May B. Minty),  jelly doughnut (Phil O'Jelly), orange (Sonny Shine), green apple (Sour Saul), macaron (Maci Macaron) and chocolate milkshake (Mikey Milkshake).  Keep an eye out for Jay Bean as he'll only be distributed around Easter time.

You can purchase Whiffer Sniffers individually either in clear sealed tube that identifies the character or by getting a blacked-out mystery pack container where you can get a randomly selected plush which you won't know what you have until the package is open.  In addition to the fun of being surprised, mystery packs often are the only place to find certain characters.  For example in the Spring 2017 wave Maci Macaron and Mikey Milkshake are exclusive characters that can only be had by finding them in a mystery pack.  If you open a mystery pack and find a sealed bag inside you've really struck gold.  In this case you've got yourself a really rare Sniffer Mix which is a combination of two Whiffer Sniffer characters and are also exclusively found within mystery packs.  The two newest Sniffer Mixers are a Strawberry Milkshake (Bitsy Shakin) and Mint Macaron (Minty Macaron).
