LEGENDS OF TOMORROW COMPLETE FIFTH SEASON

WARNER BROS HOME ENTERTAINMENT PROVIDED ME WITH A FREE COPY OF THE FEATURED BLU-RAY

The time travelling heroes of DC'S Legends of Tomorrow are back for a fifth season of super adventures with all fifteen one-hour episodes that originally aired on The CW network now available on Blu-ray and DVD. Add the complete fifth season commecial free which includes a bonus disc containing all five DC Crossover Event Crisis on Infinite Earths episodes which you can binge watch by themselves all at once for a movie style viewing experience.

Crisis on Infinite Earths was a crossover event featuring episodes of the television series Supergirl, Batwoman, The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow on The CW. Inspired by the DC Comics storyline of the same name, heroes from from throughout The CW's DC Comics inspired shows join together to stop a super villain from destroying reality. The crossover's events result in what has been called the "Arrowverse" being rebooted transferring characters from a variety of multiverse settings to one uniform location and timeline. Enjoy these five episodes as their own mini-series before diving into the complete season of Legends of Tomorrow.

DC'S Legends of Tomorrow follows a group of misfit heroes as they fight, talk and sing their way through protecting the timeline from aberrations, anomalies and anything else that threatens to mess with history. After saving the world via the power of song and themed entertainment in last season's finale, the Legends are now major celebrities. Some struggle with the transition from loveable losers to A-list starts while others start letting fame go to their heads.

When a documentary crew decides to film the Legends in action, distracting them from their original mission, Astra Logue frees history's most notorious villains from Hell in a bid for power. It is up to the Legends to forgo fame to stop these reanimated souls from wreaking havoc on the timeline. With Rasputin popping out of his coffin trying to become an immortal tsar and Marie Antoinette turning the French Revolution into a deadly party the Legends are going to be busy cleaning up the timeline in Season 5.

While battling historically inspired villains, the Legends also find themselves in some goofy fights too which adds some extra whimsy and fun to the series. For example episode fourteen "The One Where We're Trapped on TV" has the heroes encounter a villain who warps reality so that heroes are trapped in scenarios matching scenes from television shows spoofing Downton Abbey, Friends, and Star Trek. Some of the reason this show is so entertaining is that it doesn't take its super hero format too seriously providing humorous content that blends in with their action adventures. Give yourself a fun self-indulgence by vegging on the couch binge watching Legends of Tomorrow while snacking on junk food your doctor says you shouldn't be eating.

BATWOMAN

WARNER BROS HOME ENTERTAINMENT PROVIDED ME WITH A FREE COPY OF THE BLU-RAY FEATURED IN THIS POST. OPINIONS I SHARE ARE MY OWN.

The CW Network, Channel 50 here in Detroit, is broadcasting a number of exciting television shows based upon DC Comics' super heroes. While these shows would seem to be right up my alley it seems like I always have something else going on when what has been nicknamed the Arrowverse is airing. And once I've missed a couple of episodes it really isn't that fun to dive into a show mid-season. So I've been missing out on watching Arrow, The Flash, Super Girl, Legends of Tomorrow, and the newest Arrowverse show Batwoman.

Now that the complete first season of BATWOMAN is available on Blu-ray and DVD time to catch up on what I've missed when it originally aired on The CW Network. Time to do some binge watching. Think I can crank out watching all 20 one-hour episodes in a weekend?

In addition to all 20 episodes from Batwoman's first season, the home entertainment release from Warner Bros also has bonus features that include The Best of DC TV's Comic-Con Panels San Diego 2019, deleted scenes from the show and a gag reel. The Blu-ray also includes a bonus disc with all five episodes of the DC Crossover Event Crisis on Infinite Earths which unite characters from all the Arrowverse TV shows in a multi-verse spanning super adventure. There is a whole lot to geek out about when it comes to adding BATWOMAN: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON to your home's video library.

2.1 million viewers per week tuned in during the season to follow the adventures of Kate Kane, a woman who never planned to be Gotham's new vigilante. After Batman disappeared, Gotham was in despair...until she returned to town. Armed with a passion for justice and a flair for speaking her mind, Kane soars through the shadowed streets of Gotham as Batwoman. But don't call her a hero yet. In a city desperate for a savior she must first overcome her own demons before becoming a symbol of hope.

Batwoman: The Complete First Season is available on Blu-ray and DVD from Best Buy. Holy Dad Bloggers Batwoman! If you purchase this collection of Batwoman shows through a Geek Daddy affiliate link this dad blogger will receive a small commission at no additional expense to your purchase.
