CATWOMAN HUNTED MOVIE

Thank you Warner Bros Home Entertainment for providing ageekdaddy.com with a free 4K Ultra HD disc of the DC Animated Movie CATWOMAN: HUNTED

Warner Bros Animation really doesn't get enough credit for the excellent DC Comics stories that they transform into the movies. That may because these flicks are cartoons instead of live action movies or are release straight to home video instead of playing in theaters; but I have to say their DC Animated Movies are great and I have become a big fan enjoying them more than some of the big blockbuster superhero films that I've seen.

So, I was geeked to be provided with the newest DC Animated Movie a few days before its official February 8 retail release. Everyone’s favorite felonious feline takes action, adventure and theft to new heights – and in an entrancing anime style – in Catwoman: Hunted which will be available to view via 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and Digital. Rated PG-13 for violence, bloody images, and suggestive material while being an animated film it is aimed for teen and adult viewers rather than being family movie night appropriate to watch with young kiddos. Superhero movies aren't just for kids and especially when it comes to the DC Animated Movies it is important to check the MPAA rating if you are a parent looking for something to watch with children.

In this all-new, original animated movie, Catwoman: Hunted, Selina Kyle (aka Catwoman) attempts to steal a priceless jewel which puts her squarely in the crosshairs of both a powerful consortium of villains and the ever-resourceful Interpol, not to mention Batwoman. That might just be enough to contain the infamous cat burglar. Or maybe not!

When adding Catwoman: Hunted to your home entertainment video library in addition to the feature presentation the following bonus content is also included:

When The Hunter Becomes The Hunted (New Featurette) – When does the hunter become the hunted? In this case it’s when Selina Kyle steals the “Cat’s Eye” emerald and Batwoman informs her, “Congratulations, Selina, you just became Leviathan’s No. 1 target.” Those targeting Catwoman include wave after wave of assassins, ninjas, and Super-Villains – from Tobias Whale, Black Mask, Cheshire and Nosferata to Solomon Grundy, Talia al Ghul and Cheetah. In this all-new featurette, our experts break down the backstory of each integral villain.

Catwoman: The Feline Femme Fatale – Watch the documentary on Catwoman's history.

Catwoman: Hunted kicks off an impressive slate of DC-centric animated films coming in 2022 from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. Following Catwoman: Hunted, the 2022 releases include two new entries to the popular DC Universe movies and DC Animated Movies canons – Green Lantern: Beware My Power and Battle of the Super Sons. The year will also see the presentation of DC Showcase - Constantine: House of Mystery, the latest compilation of animated shorts anchored by a story involving the Hellblazer himself; and the highly anticipated 4K Ultra HD release of Batman: The Long Halloween - Deluxe Edition, which ramps up the R-rated action across both halves of the acclaimed film, now melded together as one dynamic thriller. There will be a lot of super action when it comes to DC Animated Movies this year!

Javicia Leslie takes on the cowl of one of DC Comics super heroes in Batwoman: The Complete Second Season available now on DVD and Blu-ray. Binge all 18 one-hour episodes that originally aired on The CW Network television series during its second season as well as bonus content that included deleted scenes and a gag reel. In addition to Leslie (God Befriended Me), Batwoman stars Rachel Skarsten (Birds of Prey, Reign), Meagan Tandy (unREAL, Teen Wolf), Nicole Kang (You), Camrus Johnson (The Sun is Also a Star) and Dougray Scott (Departure, Snatch).

SUPER TV BINGE WATCHING

Warner Bros Home Entertainment provided ageekdaddy.com with free copies of the featured Blu-rays. Opinions expressed are my own.

Did you know there are a multitude of super shows on the CW Network featuring the heroes of the DC universe? The Flash, Supergirl and Batwoman bring their comic book style adventures to live action television series on this network that broadcasts over air, through cable TV and online streaming. Check out the DC multi-verse on The CW!

If you've missed episodes, I know it isn't fun to jump in mid-stream. That is why I like to binge watch seasons when they come out on Blu-ray and DVD. Here are three great DC super hero shows that have just had their most recent season released for home entertainment video libraries:

SUPERGIRL -- SEASON FIVE

The adventures of Super Man's cousin Kara Zor-El. Keeping her powers a secret on Earth, she decides to finally embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be. It's a bird, it's a plane ... no it is Supergirl!

THE FLASH -- SEASON SIX

After being struck by lightning, Barry Allen wakes up from his coma to discover he now has the power of super speed. Becoming a superhero called The Flash he fights crime with the help of his tech whiz friends at S.T.A.R labs.
BATWOMAN -- SEASON ONE

Three years ago billionaire philanthropist Bruce Wayne, and his vigilante alter-ego, Batman, disappeared. Now his cousin Kate Kane sets out to overcome her own demons and become a symbol of hope by protecting the streets of Gotham City as Batwoman.

Catch up on these episodes so you can jump right in when the next season of adventures begin airing later this year on The CW. Or if you saw the shows when they originally aired enjoy them again! These shows are super to watch over and over again.

BATWOMAN

WARNER BROS HOME ENTERTAINMENT PROVIDED ME WITH A FREE COPY OF THE BLU-RAY FEATURED IN THIS POST. OPINIONS I SHARE ARE MY OWN.

The CW Network, Channel 50 here in Detroit, is broadcasting a number of exciting television shows based upon DC Comics' super heroes. While these shows would seem to be right up my alley it seems like I always have something else going on when what has been nicknamed the Arrowverse is airing. And once I've missed a couple of episodes it really isn't that fun to dive into a show mid-season. So I've been missing out on watching Arrow, The Flash, Super Girl, Legends of Tomorrow, and the newest Arrowverse show Batwoman.

Now that the complete first season of BATWOMAN is available on Blu-ray and DVD time to catch up on what I've missed when it originally aired on The CW Network. Time to do some binge watching. Think I can crank out watching all 20 one-hour episodes in a weekend?

In addition to all 20 episodes from Batwoman's first season, the home entertainment release from Warner Bros also has bonus features that include The Best of DC TV's Comic-Con Panels San Diego 2019, deleted scenes from the show and a gag reel. The Blu-ray also includes a bonus disc with all five episodes of the DC Crossover Event Crisis on Infinite Earths which unite characters from all the Arrowverse TV shows in a multi-verse spanning super adventure. There is a whole lot to geek out about when it comes to adding BATWOMAN: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON to your home's video library.

2.1 million viewers per week tuned in during the season to follow the adventures of Kate Kane, a woman who never planned to be Gotham's new vigilante. After Batman disappeared, Gotham was in despair...until she returned to town. Armed with a passion for justice and a flair for speaking her mind, Kane soars through the shadowed streets of Gotham as Batwoman. But don't call her a hero yet. In a city desperate for a savior she must first overcome her own demons before becoming a symbol of hope.

Batwoman: The Complete First Season is available on Blu-ray and DVD from Best Buy. Holy Dad Bloggers Batwoman! If you purchase this collection of Batwoman shows through a Geek Daddy affiliate link this dad blogger will receive a small commission at no additional expense to your purchase.
