Watch new animated movie "Bunyan & Babe" for FREE on Google Play until February 16

School was called off for the day because of icy roads and my kids were going stir crazy being cooped up inside as sleet poured down on the house.  Keeping them amused, I let the twins hang out in my son's bedroom taking advantage of an opportunity to watch a newly released animated movie Bunyan & Babe for FREE on Google Play.  I hadn't realized that my kids weren't familiar with the legend of Paul Bunyan and his giant blue ox, Babe, and when I told them a bit about these characters they were excited to watch this tale involving this gigantic duo.

Featuring the voice talents of some well known names including Mark Hamill, John Goodman, Kelsey Grammer, and Jeff Foxworthy, plus YouTube personality Johnny Orlando, Bunyan & Babe is  available to view for free withing the United States & Canada on Google Play from January 12 through February 16, 2017 courtesy of Cinedigm. Bunyan & Babe, is a modern take on the American folk story of the legendary lumberjack and his special pet. The Dove Foundation which is known for being a dependable source for family-friendly movie reviews rated the film as "Family-Approved for all ages" and described Bunyan & Babe as “entertaining and fun for the entire family."

Based upon the Dove Foundation review and actually watching the film with my kids, I can vouch there is nothing that a parent should worry about when it comes to allowing a child watch this film.  My son says Bunyan & Babe is "GREAT because the giant lumberjack and big blue bull are really cool!"  "Babe's the best!" my daughter added. "He's cute and adorable despite being so BIG!"

In Bunyan & Babe, a boy named Travis (Johnny Orlando) and his sister Whitney visit their grandparents for the summer and stumble upon the evil plan of a greedy real estate developer (Kelsey Grammer, “Cheers,” “Frasier”) to steal the land of the town's longtime residents.  While running from one of the developer's goons, Travis falls through a magical portal which transports him to the world of American hero, Paul Bunyan (John Goodman, The Big Lebowski, “Roseanne”) & his pet ox, Babe (Jeff Foxworthy, “The Jeff Foxworthy Show”).  Bunyan and Babe get wrapped up in a brand new adventure, and with the help of their new friends Travis and Whitney, they save the town.  Together they learn firsthand that you don't have to be big to do big things.
