A new Autobot character named Sqweeks will be joining the ensemble of robotic heroes in the upcoming TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT movie. This small robot transforms into a turquoise scooter and has become the loyal companion of a street-wise tomboy girl who was orphaned by the Decepticons during the Battle of Chicago which took place in the movie TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON. Now the two are caught up in a new struggle between the Autobots and Decepticons when TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT arrives at domestic movie theaters on June 21, 2017.
To help promote the new movie, Sqweeks will be taking a road trip across the United States before the opening weekend of TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT. Sqweeks will be taking selfies with people who stumble across him at the events he is visiting. So if you see him make sure to take a photo with him and share it on social media so the rest of us can enjoy viewing your pic. Keep an eye out for Sqweeks at the following events over the next few weeks:
June 1-4 Philadelphia – Wizard World Comic Con
June 3-4 San Diego – San Diego County Fair at Del Mar Fairgrounds
June 5 Wilkes Barre, PA – WWE Monday Night Raw
June 9-11 Dallas – Taste of Dallas
June 10 New York – 116th Street Festival/Puerto Rican Pride Weekend
June 13 Boston - Boston Red Sox vs. Philadelphia Phillies
June 16-18 Detroit (Brooklyn, MI) – Firekeepers 500 NASCAR
TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT shatters the core myths of the franchise, and
redefines what it means to be a hero. Humans and Transformers are at
war, Optimus Prime is gone. The key to saving our future lies buried in
the secrets of the past, in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth.
Saving our world falls upon the shoulders of an unlikely alliance: Cade
Yeager (Mark Wahlberg); Bumblebee; an English Lord (Sir Anthony
Hopkins); and an Oxford Professor (Laura Haddock).
There comes a moment in everyone’s life when we are called upon to make
a difference. In TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT, the hunted will become
heroes. Heroes will become villains. Only one world will survive:
theirs, or ours.

The Jungle Book - Kids Activity Sheets
THE JUNGLE BOOK is such a classic Disney animated movie because its transcends generations when it comes to people appreciating this 1967 portrayal of Rudyard Kipling's book for providing good quality family friendly entertainment. It's not just the telling of the tale through Walt Disney Studio's reputed animation but also its upbeat musical soundtrack that enhances the movie watching experience. I have a great memory from being a young kid of the whole audience joyfully singing along together The Bare Necessities while seeing a showing of THE JUNGLE BOOK at the movie theater. It always puts a smile on my face now as a parent seeing my children parade around the room to Colonel Hathi's March or dance around the room like monkeys to I Wanna Be Like You when our family watches THE JUNGLE BOOK on DVD. It's nice to see your children appreciate something as much as you did when you were their age. THE JUNGLE BOOK is definitely a movie that any family with young kids should have in their home video collection.
Based upon how fond my family is of THE JUNGLE BOOK it peeked my interest to see that Disney is releasing a new live action version of the film arriving at movie theaters across the United States on April 15, 2016. While this new movie will differentiate from the original by lacking its cartoonish musical charm it is promising some impressive special effects that will seamlessly blend live action with photorealistic CGI animals and environments. Hey and it has got Bill Murray voicing Baloo so you have to appreciate that! From looking at the trailer, I'm looking forward to checking out this new adaption of THE JUNGLE BOOK when it arrives at the movie theater.
Directed by Jon Favreau (Iron Man), based on Rudyard Kipling's timeless stories and inspired by Disney's classic animated film, THE JUNGLE BOOK is an all-new live-action epic adventure about Mowgli (newcomer Neel Sethi), a man-cub who's been raised by a family of wolves. But Mowgli finds he is no longer welcome in the jungle when fearsome tiger Shere Khan (voice of Idris Elba), who bears the scars of Man, promises to eliminate what he sees as a threat. Urged to abandon the only home he's ever known, Mowgli embarks on a captivating journey of self-discovery, guided by panther-turned-stern mentor Bagheera (voice of Ben Kingsley), and the free-spirited bear Baloo. Along the way, Mowgli encounters jungle creatures who don't exactly have his best interests at heart, including Kaa (voice of Scarlett Johansson), a python whose seductive voice and gaze hypnotizes the man-cub, and the smooth-talking King Louie (voice of Christopher Walken), who tries to coerce Mowgli into giving up the secret to the elusive and deadly red flower: FIRE.
While you are awaiting spring weather to arrive here are some fun THE JUNGLE BOOK activity sheets to help keep kids amused these last few weeks of winter courtesy of our friends at Walt Disney Studios. Just download and print to enjoy:
THE JUNGLE BOOK will be rated PG. For more information about the movie, visit movies.disney.com/the-jungle-book-2016

Cartoonist Attempting to Draw a Star Wars Illustration Every Day Between New Year's Day & Opening of New Movie
To highlight himself as a super fan and promote his twitter feed, cartoonist George Folz kicked off his "Darth Days" campaign on New Years Day with the goal of drawing and tweeting out a new Star Wars illustration from the beginning of the year until Episode VII is released in theaters on December 18, 2015. You can follow along and look for his drawings at @GeorgeJurard on twitter. Here's a look at his most recent post that he tweeted out today:
#StarWars #darthdays 11/365 is in the bag. This is my new favorite-- The Emperor is a blast to draw! pic.twitter.com/7NQAqg1JsW
— George Folz (@GeorgeJurard) January 11, 2015
Star Wars fans who want a fun way to count down the days until the next movie debuts should give George Folz a follow and keep an eye out for his original artwork (like the Tatooine Dusk above and Jabba's Slave Girl below) as he tweets his illustrations that pay homage to the artistic vision of another George with the last name of Lucas.
