The Fresh Beat Band Hits the Road

Live National Concert Series & New Animated Television Series in works for
Nickelodeon's The Fresh Beat Band

Normally the though of going to a concert with kids isn't an appealing idea because the show may be too much of an adult oriented atmosphere (The Dave Matthews Band concert where we were enveloped in a haze of marijuana smoke or the Toby Keith show where drunk guys were fighting in the aisles around us come to mind) or even worse catering to a teen audience (Oh the unspeakable horror of having to chaperone your children to see Justin Bieber, Mylie Cyrus, or New Direction).  That being said, one concert that sounds like a fun time to go to with your children to enjoy is THE FRESH BEAT BAND (whose performances are aimed at entertaining preschoolers and their parents) when they go on tour.  The Fresh Beat Band, Nickelodeon's preschool music group and stars of the Emmy Award winning TV series of the same name are hitting the road for a brand-new nationwide concert tour running from November 5th through February 15th to 40 cities including DETROIT, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles. Atlanta and Dallas.

Tickets are on sale now for these live family-oriented shows that will feature Kika (Yvette Gonzalez-Nacer), Marina (Tara Perry), Twist (Jon Beavers), and Shout (Thomas Hobson) performing songs that most people who have watched Nickelodeon or Nick Jr. will be familiar with such as "Bananas", "Here We Go" and "Great Day."   According to Doug Cohn, SVP Music - Nickelodeon, "The Fresh Beat Band is back on the road to give kids a chance to see their favorite rock stars live in concert. This re-imagined high energy production features the band's biggest hits, bever-before-performed songs, and fun surprises that will deliver an unforgettable experience for families."
