THE POKÉMON COMPANY INTERNATIONAL NAMES WICKED COOL TOYS AS MASTER TOY LICENSEE

My kids are really into Pokémon right now --> they love the collectible card game, watching the animated TV series and my daughter goes to sleep every night with a stuffed Pickachu creature.  So they're going to be excited to find out that the great folks over at Wicked Cool Toys have just announced an exciting new partnership with The Pokémon Company International.  Beginning in July 2018, Wicked Cool Toys will become the master toy licensee for the globally popular Pokémon brand with the rights to manufacture and market action figures, play sets, roleplay items and other toys around the world except in Asia where the brand is managed by its parent company.

"Pokémon is one of the most beloved entertainment properties in the world and Wicked Cool Toys is thrilled to become part of that legacy," Michael Rinzler, co-president of Wicked Cool Toys noted in an announcement sent to A Geek Daddy. "We can't wait to deliver innovative and fun toys that embody the joy of Pokémon to kids and the brand's millions of passionate fans around the world."

The Pokémon Company International will also become a strategic investor in Wicked Cool Toys and be provided a seat on the toy company's board of directors.  This new partnership is hoped to enhance collaboration between the brand and its licensee when it comes to developing toys.  The investment in Wicked Cool Toys is similar to a strategic partnership The Pokémon Company International entered into with Niantic, Inc., the developer and publisher of the Pokémon GO video game app.

Keep an eye out for the new Pokémon toys from Wicked Cool Toys to begin hitting store shelves in the fall of 2018!

Heading Back To School With Whiffer Sniffers

** A Geek Daddy received the featured product for free to review**

Getting ready to head back to school my daughter made sure I knew that she needed some flair to add to her backpack.  She wanted to make sure she was looking cool when returning to school.  All the kids at her school now decorate their bags with pins, key chains, and clip on plush toys and of course she didn't want to be left out.  So we let my daughter brighten up her backpack with some Whiffer Sniffers.

These fun plush caricatures of food aren't just amusing to look at but also are great to sniff as they are slightly scented to smell like the things being portrayed.  Willy B. Chilly the snowcone has a mixed fruit scent while Ben Sizzlin smells like BACON!!!  Other themes include coconut, french toast and watermelon.  The scents on these clips last for about a year but they are designed to only be noticeable up close so as not to be prominent or overpowering when carried around.  To check out the full variety of Whiffer Sniffer clip on plush available, visit WhifferSniffers.com.

You can purchase Whiffer Sniffers individually either in clear sealed tube that identifies the character or by getting a mystery pack where you can get a randomly selected plush which you won't know what you have until the package is open.  In addition to the fun of being surprised some of the Whiffer Sniffers such as apple pie, french toast, and popsicle are only available by finding them in a mystery pack.

The whimsical designs and variety of smells incorporated into these plush backpack clips have delighted my kids.  Whiffer Sniffers release new product in waves and retires some of the older versions after awhile so you should be on the lookout and pick up the ones you are really interested in.  If you are looking for something unique to help a child personalize his or her school backpack check out Whiffer Sniffers.
