A nice aspect of Syberia3 is that instead of there being a focus on characters' brawn and ferocity being used to succeed in muscling or shooting through levels the game focuses rather on players using their intelligence to overcome the tasks and problems they are faced with. The game's surroundings aren't just an attractive backdrop but rather an element of the game that needs to be explored for insights on how to advance through its story. You'll need to discover and collect objects and then associate when they need to be utilized to solve puzzles or defeat obstacles. Selecting how the game's main character responds to dialog has a "choose your own adventure" quality where your decisions have a real impact on how the story advances. Plus there are optional game phases that enhance the playing experience if you select to participate in them.
Set a few weeks after the events of Syberia2, the game's heroine, a young New York attorney named Kate Walker, awakens from a coma to find herself held captive in a weird and creepy insane asylum. She needs to escape and reunite with the nomadic Youkol tribe as they participate in the ancient migration of their great snow ostriches which promises to lead her to the legendary last living mammoths on the planet. Finding these mammoths are the last piece of the puzzle Walker needs to solve to conclude the assignment she was sent from New York on and has been pursuing through the previous two Syberia games. While Syberia3 is a sequel it has enough stand alone elements that you can enjoy it without having played the previous games in the franchise.

Syberia3's signature puzzles will challenge your brain and have you wanting to come back to the game again and again to take them on. Plus its artistic landscapes and environments will draw you into wanting to explore this imaginative virtual world. Syberia3 is rated T for Teen because of mild foul language, violence and the use of alcohol. Plus I'd add it may be a bit spooky for younger children to take in and you don't want to be giving them nightmares. In addition to being available for XBOX ONE, PS4 and PC the game will be coming soon to Nintendo Switch.
