Based upon the plush toys created by David Horvath and Sun-Min Kim that became a global phenomenon, Ugly Dolls is a movie filled with colorful and adorable characters that shares powerful messages of inclusion and empowerment. This music filled comedy features the vocal talents of Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas, Janelle Monae, Blake Shelton, Pitbull, Wanda Sykes, and Gabriel Iglesias. It is rated PG by the Motion Picture Association of America for thematic elements and brief action scenes.
The theatrical version of UglyDolls is 1 hour and 27 minutes, but the home video release of the film also includes bonus material such as a sing-along-edition of the movie, a Fun with the Cast of UglyDolls featurette, and Making of Ugly Dolls documentary.
