Warner Bros Home Entertainment provided this dad blogger with a free DVD. Opinions expressed are my own.
My kids loved the Disney Channel animated tv series Gravity Falls and were disappointed that it only lasted two seasons. That show uprooted two suburban California tweens for a summer to a mysterious town in rural Oregon where they find themselves immersed in supernatural adventures. They've found a replacement now though for Disney's Gravity Falls with Cartoon Networks' Victor and Valentino: Folk Art Foes which my son and daughter have recently been binge watching on DVD. Available now for the first time on DVD are 18 episodes of the Imagen Award-nominated cartoon Victor and Valentino.
This Cartoon Network show has a lot of the elements my kids loved about Gravity Falls but with Hispanic flair and a south of the border setting. Victor and Valentino is a supernatural adventure comedy about two half-brothers who spend a summer with their grandma in Monte Macabre, a small town where the myths and legends of Mesoamerican folklore come to life.
