Originally released as a web comic strip, CARTOONSHOW from Adventure Time artist Derek M Ballard is coming to print via an Oni Press graphic novel. It will be available in hardcover for $21.99 at Amazon.com on August 2, 2023. Cartoonshow follows the real-life challenges of being a single dad with insightful humor and satirical reflection of contemporary American life.
Derek is a solo parent raising three kids in the American South while trying to make art. Told in a series of free-flowing and often hilarious comic essays, Cartoonshow gets to the heart of the struggle to be a creative person in a society that doesn't value anything other than how much it can grind out of you. The four hour-long Adventure Land specials created for HBO Max that were originally exclusive to the streaming service are now available to purchase on a Blu-ray to add to your home entertainment library. The animated series Adventure Time which follows the adventures of Finn (a human boy) and his best friend and adoptive brother Jake (a dog with magical powers to change shape and size at will) who live in the post-apocalyptic Land of Ooo, originally was broadcast on Cartoon Network from 2010 to 2018. From 2020 - 2021, HBO Max introduced new, original Adventure Time content in its Distant Lands specials that are collected together on one Blu-ray.

A new wave of expansion packs for Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment's popular LEGO Dimensions video game are now on store shelves. Players can now expand their game playing experience by incorporating new characters and vehicles from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Sonic the Hedgehog, Gremlins, E.T. -- The Extra-Terrestrial and Adventure Time into their LEGO Dimensions adventures.
In addition to adding new characters, vehicles and locals to LEGO Dimensions, all the expansion packs in this latest wave feature Battle Arenas with competitive split-screen local gameplay for up to four players. LEGO minifigures included in the expansion packs also come with special golden Toy Tags which unlock a free play Adventure World of the corresponding entertainment brand, as well as a battle arena that can be reached through Vorton. Players can explore Adventure Worlds for Gremlins, and also play four exciting gameplay modes within the battle arenas, including Capture the Flag, Objective, Base Bash, and Tick, Tag, Boom!. Each arena comes with its own traps, defenses, and special powers that make every Battle Arena unique. Battles can be played competitively or cooperatively in multiple player configurations including 2 vs 2, 3 vs 1, and individually against the system AI to create fun for the whole family.
The Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Story Pack provides a complete movie-based gameplay experience that is full of secrets and surprises. Players can build the Newt Scamander LEGO minifigure and help him find his escaped magical creatures in New York City using a variety of spells, including and The pack will also come with the Niffler, which can be rebuilt into the Sinister Scorpion and Vicious Vulture. The Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Story Pack will be the exclusive LEGO construction toy offering this holiday for the exciting expansion of J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World.
Fans of J.K. Rowling's wizarding world can also add the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Fun Pack with a Tina Goldstein LEGO minifigure to their LEGO Dimensions collection. She can cast to help solve puzzles and to keep her safe from enemies. Players in need of rescue can build the Swooping Evil which can be rebuilt into the Brutal Bloom and Crawling Creeper.
Additionally a Sonic the Hedgehog Level Pack is now available where players can join Sonic and his friends in an epic battle against Eggman and Chaos. Spin into action speeding through iconic locations including Green Hill, Emerald Coast, and Labyrinth to collect all the Chaos Emeralds. Players can have the Sonic the Hedgehog LEGO minifigure use his Acrobat ability to swing off poles and avoid the Badniks, then use his famous grind rails move to make a quick escape. The pack also includes a 3-in-1 Sonic Speedster which can be rebuilt into Blue Typhoon and Motobug, and a 3-in-1 The Tornado which can be rebuilt into Crabmeat and Eggcatcher.
The Gremlins Team Pack includes popular rivals Gizmo and Stripe LEGO minifigures. Each will unlock the Adventure World, where players can explore the Cinema, Clamp Industries, the High School, and so much more. Gizmo’s Combat Roll and Dash Attack abilities can be used to get him out of sticky situations and Stripe uses his claws with his Vine Cut ability. Players can rebuild the 3-in-1 R.C. Racer vehicle into the Gadget-o-matic and Scarlet Scorpion and the 3-in-1 Flash ‘n’ Finish into a Rampage Record Player and Stripe's Throne.
Phone home with the E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial Fun Pack! It includes an E.T. LEGO minifigure with Illumination and Fix-It abilities, as well as special Stealth and Telekinesis skills to make his way around the LEGO multiverse. Players can build E.T.’s iconic Phone Home device, then rebuild it into the Mobile Uplink and Super-Charged Satellite for additional in-game abilities. With the corresponding Adventure World, players can build new
experiences at Elliot’s house and in the suburbs, throughout the park
and the forest, on the BMX trail, and even in E.T.’s spaceship.
An additional Adventure Time Fun Pack is being added to LEGO Dimensions in this new wave of expansion packs as well featuring a Marceline the Vampire Queen LEGO minifigure. Players can activate her Sonar Smash and Bolt Deflector abilities using the Marceline Axe Guitar to solve puzzles and battle enemies. They can also build and use Marceline’s Lunatic Amp to make some noise, and then rebuild it into the Shadow Scorpion and Heavy Metal Monster for extra in-game powers. This fun pack is being released as a Toys R Us exclusive in North America.
These additions are the seventh wave of expansion pack to enhance the game play experience since the video game was introduced. Halloween seems the perfect time for Adventure Time's spunky Vampire Queen Marceline to welcome the Gremlins to the LEGO Dimensions video game. In the video below, the rocking Queen introduces us to Gizmo and Stripe, demonstrating exactly what not to do with a Gremlin, unless you are looking to wreak havoc! A highlight of the new wave of expansion packs is the Ghostbusters Story Pack which allows players to relive the action of last summer's motion picture. Help Abby Yates and her team of Ghostbusters save the world from the mysterious and evil ghost, Rowen, across six new action-packed levels of LEGO Dimensions play. The Story Pack unlocks "Rip," a new Toy Pad mode allowing players to tear open an alternate universe. In this mirror world, players have the ability to solve puzzles which have an impact on objects and other items in the primary universe.
The Story Pack also includes a 3-in-1 buildable Ecto-1 car which can also be rebuilt into the Ectozer and PerfEcto. Additionally, the Zhu's Chinese Restaurant gateway can be built upon the LEGO Dimensions Toy Pad to customize it. Players can also access the new Ghostbusters free play Adventure World with its own unique Battle Arena by utilizing the gold tagged Abby Yates mini-figure included with the Story Pack.
The Harry Potter Team Pack allows players to pit the boy wizard against he who shall not be named. Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort LEGO min-figures bring the Wizarding World to LEGO Dimensions. Players can use Harry to cast magical spells such as Wingardium Leviosa, Stupefy, and Expelliarmus to solve puzzles and fight off Death Eaters or play as Lord Voldemort to utilize the power of Dark magic. Players can also explore the Harry Potter themed Adventure World by jumping aboard the included buildable 3-in-1 vehicles of the Hogwarts Express (Steam Warrior / Soaring Steam Plane) or Enchanted Car (Shark Sub / Monstrous Mouth). Players can also use this Team Pack to engage in battles of good vs evil in the Harry Potter Battle Arena.
In the Adventure Time Level Pack, based on Cartoon Network's animated television series, players can help Finn the Human on his mission to find the Enchidrion and prove to Princess Bubblegum that he's a hero. Players can use on of Finn's many special swords to cut vines, grapple and even deflect lasers as they battle foes and travel through the Forest of Mount Cragdor, the Dark Magician's Brain World and more in this exclusive level available through this expansion pack. It also comes with a 3-in-1 buildable Jalemobile (Snail Dude Jake / Hover Jake) and 3-in-1 buildable Ancient War Elephant (Cosmic Squid / Psychic Submarine). Plus the pack allows players to unlock an Adventure Time themed Battle Arena.
Fans of "Land of Ooo" can also pick up an Adventure Time Team Pack which includes LEGO min-figures of Lumpy the Space Princess and Jake the Dog that can be used as playable characters within the game. It also comes with a 3-in-1 buildable Lumpy Car that can also be transformed into a Lumpy Truck or a Lumpy Land Whale and BMO that can also be turned into DOGMO and SNAKEMO. It also provides access to the Adventure Time Battle Arena.
