PINK MOVIE THEATER POPCORN

Throughout the month of October, Emagine Entertainment will be offering guests at their Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana theatres the opportunity to enjoy pink popcorn in recognition of national breast cancer awareness month. During the month when guests purchase their pink popcorn a portion of the proceeds from each sale will be donated to Michigan based Shades of Pink Foundation. Shades of Pink Foundation helps to reduce the financial stress for those undergoing breast cancer treatment in Southeast Michigan by providing prompt funding for daily living expenses including help with rent payment, insurance payments, transportation costs, childcare, and other essential of daily life. 

 “Offering pink popcorn is certainly fun for our guests, but the meaning behind it is powerful,” Anthony LaVerde, CEO of Emagine Entertainment, remarked to ageekdaddy.com. “We are pleased to once again come together as a community and partner with Shades of Pink Foundation to help offer some additional support to those facing the challenges of having breast cancer.”

EMAGINE THEATRES BATMAN DAY MOVIE MARATHON

Saturday, September 21 is National Batman Day and Emagine Theatres is celebrating the 85th anniversary of the DC Comics superhero with a movie marathon. Select Emagine theatres will be hosting a THE DARK KNIGHT trilogy movie marathon offering tickets to all three films and a concession deal for only $25 per person. Celebrate one of the most famous comic characters of our time and enjoy a day full of films and fun! 

The Batman Day Package is only $25 and will include tickets to each of the films, Batman Begins, Dark Knight, and Dark Knight Rises, an 85oz popcorn tub and small drink that can be refilled for no additional cost throughout the day.* 

BATMAN BEGINS (2005) After witnessing his parent’s death, Bruce learns the art of fighting to confront injustice. When he returns to Gotham as Batman, he must stop a secret society that intends to destroy the city. Rated PG-13 

THE DARK KNIGHT (2008) When the menace known as the Joker wreaks havoc and chaos on the people of Gotham, Batman must accept one of the greatest psychological and physical tests of his ability to fight injustice. Rated PG-13 

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES (2012) Eight years after the Joker’s reign of chaos, Batman is coerced out of exile with the assistance of the mysterious Selina Kyle in order to defend Gotham City from the vicious guerrilla terrorist Bane. Rated PG-13

PRICING: Tickets available at the Box Office. No online tickets will be available for the package deal. All three movie tickets for the Batman Day Package much be purchased together at time of sale and will include an unlimited 85oz popcorn and small drink for only $25*. Individual movie tickets are not available. 

 *Guests must present their receipt at the concession stand each time they receive refills on their popcorn and drink. Free refills are only valid on Saturday, September 21, 2024.

ROYAL OAK HOSTING WORLD PREMIERE OF NEW HORROR FLICK

Emagine Entertainment will be hosting the North American Red Carpet Movie Premiere of Dark Planet Releasing’s highly anticipated horror movie Thorns, at their Royal Oak, MI theatre on Saturday, February 17, 2024. The premiere will feature red carpet arrivals by key cast and crew including horror film legend Doug Bradley, and Michigan natives, Writer and Director, Doug Schulze and Editor and Co-Producer Julie Schulze. There will also be a live Q&A prior to the film hosted by Anthony LaVerde, CEO of Emagine Entertainment. Emagine Royal Oak is located at 200 N. Main Street in Royal Oak, Michigan. In Thorns, Archbishop Jenkins (played by Doug Bradley) mentors an ex-priest working for NASA who is sent to investigate a remote observatory that went silent after receiving a mysterious radio signal from deep space. Upon arrival, he discovers the signal opened a portal unleashing a thorned monster. The former priest must now summon his lost faith to stop the signal from spreading hell on earth.

Thorns will have a limited engagement beginning February 23 at select Emagine theaters before a wider release later in 2024. The film will be shown at Emagine Royal Oak, Emagine Canton, Emagine Novi, and Emagine Rochester Hills during its first run. Thorns, which was shot entirely in Michigan at the Motion Pictures Institute in Troy and in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, was created by Michigan based independent filmmakers Doug and Julie Schulze.

The Red-Carpet event begins at 6:30 on Saturday, February 17. At 7:00pm Doug Bradley and Doug Schulze will answer questions from the audience during a live Q&A. The film will begin immediately after the Q&A at approximately 7:45pm. Tickets for the Red-Carpet Premiere and Q&A are $13.25 and available now at www.emagine-entertainment.com.

Thorns has played to rave reviews and enthusiastic audiences at film festivals worldwide, including Sitges Brigadoon Festival, Fright Fest in London, Monsters of Film and was the closing night film at the New York City Horror Film Festival. Thorns features horror icon Doug Bradley, who is well-known for his role as the lead Cenobite “Pinhead” in the Hellraiser franchise films and winner of the 2023 New York City Horror Film Festival’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
