GUNS N ROSES PINBALL

Jersey Jack Pinball

If you really want to rock out your game room or man cave, this new Guns N' Roses Pinball Game from Jersey Jack Pinball would be sure to give you the bragging rights on the block. At $6,700 dollars for the standard edition it isn't cheap but this amazing arcade quality cabinet would absolutely earn you to title of Pinball Wizard among your friends. If my wife would let me raid the kids college fund this pinball machine would be so in my basement!

Guns ‘N’ Roses ‘Not In This Lifetime’ is meant to mimic the experience of sitting in the front row of one of the band's concerts. The game is designed around playing through the Guns N’ Roses entire 21-song setlist with a concert stage and moving spotlights. Live footage and concert screen animations from the Not In This Lifetime World Tour are showcased on a 27” backbox display. Players need to get fans to cheer and get more pyrotechnics!

It comes set in Family Friendly default mode, but there is a switch to turn on Adult Only content which adds explicit songs, video content, and voice work. Speaking of vocals, the game includes voice recordings by Axl Rose, Slash, Richard Fortus, Frank Ferrer, Dizzy Reed and GNR announcer MC Bob. Plus, full-length Studio Master Recordings of Guns N’ Roses songs are featured in this pinball game.

An avid pinball collector and longtime player, SLASH worked hands-on with Jersey Jack Pinball designer Eric Meunier for over two years, to develop the Guns N’ Roses ‘Not In This Lifetime’ game. As co-designer, SLASH crafted specific game plays and actions, recorded guitar riffs, music, voice, and video for the new game as well as, four unique guitar features for four playable modes in the game. Pinball designer Eric Meunier is widely known as the designer of one of the best-selling pinball games of all time, Pirates of The Caribbean, which currently sells for $5-7,000.00 over its original asking price.

Guns N Roses

Hundreds of interactive LED lights and multiple LCD displays complimented by a 2.1 stereo sound system give players a front row seat to custom animations and hours of 'Not In This Lifetime' tour footage. The kinetic game brings together the band’s powerhouse live performance, signature sound and wild stage elements. Plus it adds some special touches like sculptures of Slash’s Iconic Top Hat, Screaming Axl Rose, and a Concert Speaker Stack. There is also a Drumstick Ramp featuring two Real Frank Ferrer Thunderchucker Vater Drumsticks as well as two Guitar Pick-shaped RGB Lit Spinners inside the game. Sweet!

Can't afford one of these to toss in your basement, home office or den? You can still plug getting one of these to the pub you hangout with your buddies at or the arcade you spend time at with your kids. You know you want to play this pinball game! I sure would be geeked to!

OFFICIALLY LICENSED BUGS BUNNY X MLB ART SERIES

With Major League Baseball being played in empty stadiums this year, fans are going to have to be enjoying games from home during the season. Have you done anything to make a space around your house more comfy while watching games on television or streaming them to another type of electronic device? Now is a perfect time to remodel a man cave, den, office or game room!

For those of you who are looney about both baseball and Bugs Bunny, check out this new artwork by artist S. Preston. It is a minimalist print depicting Bugs Bunny as a ball player from your favorite team. I think S. Preston's imagery of Bugs sporting the Old English D is very sharp looking. These art prints are available with Bugs Bunny representing all 30 MLB teams.

Known for his sports inspired pop art including his popular Minimalist Baseball Stadium art series, S. Preston has just released an all-new series, MINIMALIST BASEBALL BUGS––MLB EDITION. This series is an official collaboration with MLB™ and Chuck Jones Gallery, featuring quirky sets of wall art for all 30 MLB teams available just in time for the return of baseball and the 80th Birthday of Bugs Bunny. These prints are a fun way for pop culture and baseball fans of all ages to show team spirit and an appreciation of Looney Tunes!

With initial dreams of becoming a professional athlete, S. Preston blended his unique artistic talents with his passion for sports, doodling his way to beautiful minimalist art that would deeply connect with sports fanatics. Minimalist ballpark designs led off his success, and from there, he moved on to MLB mascots, moments, trophy designs and princesses dressed in local team gear, eventually achieving national recognition and becoming one of only four licensed MLB artists. In 2016, S. Preston’s artwork made the permanent archives of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, NY, and he is a lifetime member of the coveted institution.

MINIMALIST BASEBALL BUGS – MLB EDITION will be available in limited quantities of 100 variants per team, with an MSRP of $80.00. For more information visit sprestondesigns.com/collections/baseball-bugs-team-variants

Tech Out Your Man Cave With Help From The Geek Squad

** The reviewer has been compensated in the form of a Best Buy Gift Card and/or received the product/service at a reduced price or for free **

I just wrapped up my Fantasy League Draft and finished blocking off all the Detroit Lions game day times on my calendar so now it's time to enjoy some FOOTBALL for the next few months!!!  Often times I'll watch a game on television with my family but sometimes a guy just wants to enjoy  sporting events without the distractions that spouses and kids often present.  So I have a little corner of the basement that is my getaway space where I can watch the Lions, Pistons or Red Wings play without any hassles or interruptions.  Sometimes I'll get a workout in while watching the tv helping me pass the time as I run a few miles or lift some weights.  Other times I just lay back in a lawn chair with a brew and snacks in hand while enjoying a game.  So that's my man cave!

Oh yes, the man cave! An oasis from whining kids and honey do lists where us guys can escape to unwind, watch sports, and have a little me time.  On the topic of man caves you have to check this out, my buddies at Best Buy's Geek Squad recently took a tired, old basement like mine and turned it into an example of how these spaces can be made “man-tastic.” CLICK HERE for Best Buy's play sheet of six sweet tech ideas that can elevate a man cave from drab to bad ass plus a video that highlights this man-tastic basement transformation.

Living in Detroit of course I've gone to some Red Wings hockey games.  One of my favorite parts of being at the game is when the lights flash after a goal is scored.  I always thought that it would be a cool addition for a man cave to have a light flash over the television like the ones in stadiums placed over the goals during a hockey match.  That way you could have the same effect while watching on television from home when a goal is scored while watching hockey or even better yet when a touchdown is scored in a football game.  That's why tip #2 of Best Buy's 6 Tech Ideas for the Ultimate Man Cave is my favorite.

The technology is now available for you to have your very own Sports Alert Light Show that once you've gotten it setup will work automatically without you having to lift a finger.  Calvin Johnson catches a TD, bam there is it! Miguel Cabrera hits a Home Run - boom!  Gustav Nyquist slaps in a shot - the room lights up! Insert your favorite team here scoring during a game and you can see the light!

So how do you set this up?  Through apps of course combined with the Philips hue lighting system.  There is an app called IF which allows you to setup automated tasks called recipes.  Tell IF "if this happens, then do that."  And shazam IF does it!  You can connect IF to the ESPN app so that it knows when your favorite team scores and can trigger Philips hue to make the lights flash.   Voila! you have your very own automated Sports Alert Light Show.  How cool is that?!

Hey you might not even be watching the game but instead focused on something else, like engaging in a Robot Fight Club bout, but you'll still know if something good is happening for your favorite teams when the Sports Alert light goes off.  So which of these Best Buy Tech Ideas for the Ultimate Man Cave is your favorite?
  1. Build a PC Gaming Station
  2. Set up a Sports Alert Light Show
  3. Sit Closer to the Action with 4K Ultra HD
  4. Customize a Kegerator with 3D printing tap
  5. Add a smart putting green
  6. Create a robot fight club

The college and pro football season is here! The NBA and NHL aren't far behind. Now is the perfect time to get those Man Cave upgrades in place. Stop by your local Best Buy store or visit BestBuy.com for plenty of ways to up your game when it comes to having a great man cave.
