SNOWPIERCER THE COMPLETE SECOND SEASON

Thanks to Warner Bros Home Entertainment for providing ageekdaddy.com with a free Blu-ray + Digital Combo Pack of SNOWPIERCER THE COMPLETE SECOND SEASON

Cheers! Time to toast that us cord cutters who can't watch TNT can now catch up on the second season of the sci-fi cable tv show SNOWPIERCER. The Complete Second Season of Snowpiercer will be available to purchase from retailers on Blu-ray beginning November 9, 2021.  It should be a thrilling ride with all 10 hour-long episodes of season two that were broadcast on TNT plus another 21 minutes of extra content on the home entertainment video release. Inspired by the 2013 Snowpiercer movie that was adapted from a series of graphic novels, this television series stars Academy Award winner Jennifer Connelly (A Beautiful Mind), Grammy and Tony Award winner Daveed Diggs (Hamilton and Black-ish) and Sean Bean (Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings).

If you don't watch cable television this series may have the best cast for a show you haven't heard of. Now is a great time to check it out being able to binge watch both Season 1 & 2 on Blu-ray. This show is so good it has been picked up for two more seasons scheduled to run in 2022 and 2023. See what you have been missing!

Season One concluded with a revolution that had the people working to keep a survival train running through a catastrophic weather event that froze the world rise up against an elitist class ruling over them. The survivors of the fighting are trying to pick up the pieces and maintain a fragile peace amongst the now merged classes at the start of Season 2. Emerging as the train's leader, Layton (Daveed Diggs) must now encounter a new unexpected threat emerging from beyond the train.

Mr. Wilford (Sean Bean) is alive and headed their way on a rival train. Melanie (Jennifer Connelly) risks going outside to prevent him from invading their train, the Snowpiercer. While she is out there, it is revealed that Alexandra, Melanie's daughter, who was thought dead, is alive and has become Wilford's dedicated protegee.

In season two, an entirely new power struggle emerges, causing a dangerous rift as people are divided between their loyalty to Layton and Mr. Wilford, who has a new train, new technology and a game plan that keeps everyone guessing. While Layton battles Wilford for the soul of Snowpiercer, Melanie leads the charge on a shocking new discovery that could change the fate of humanity.

SNOW PIERCER

Warner Bros Home Entertainment provided this dad blogger a free Blu-ray. Opinions expressed are my own.

Hasn't been much of a winter when it comes to snow fall this year but a bunch of it has just been dumped on us by some recent storms. Winter weather conditions made today a snow day with our local roads impassible this morning but by the afternoon our local DPW had done an excellent job of digging us out. So my daughter and I bundled up and hit the sledding hill for the first time in awhile. We had a lot of fun getting outside and racing down the slopes!

After we got home it seemed a fitting day to watch this sci-fi tv series I've been wanting to see but couldn't because we cut our cable and it is broadcast on TNT. Now that the first season is available on Blu-ray, I'm finally going to be able to catch up with what is going on in SNOWPIERCER! I'm going to binge watch it tonight after the kids go to bed.

Set almost a decade after the world has become a frozen wasteland, SNOWPIERCER revolves around the remnants of humanity who inhabit a perpetually moving train, with 1,001 cars, that circles the globe. Class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival play out in this television adaption of a graphic novel series. Yeah it may seem like a goofy premise but it based upon a comic book full of sci-fi goodness! Plus the show stars Oscar winner Jennifer Connelly (A Beautiful Mind) and Grammy & Tony Award winner Daveed Diggs (Hamilton).

You can pick up SNOWPIERCER: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON on Blu-ray or DVD at Best Buy to add to your home entertainment video library.
