SCOOBY DOO THE SWORD AND THE SCOOB

Warner Bros Home Entertainment provided me a free copy of the featured DVD. Opinions shared are my own.

new scooby doo movie

The Mystery Machine rode into town with a brand new Scooby-Doo mystery for us to enjoy for a family movie night! This dad blogger has loved Scooby-Doo and his gang of meddling kids since I was a preschooler and still am enthused to watch their hijinks now along with my own children. So were excited to discover a brand new animated movie was being released featuring Scooby, Shaggy, Fred, Velma and Daphne.

Available now from Warner Bros Home Entertainment, Scooby-Doo The Sword and the Scoob can be added to your movie library via DVD or Digital. This is a family friendly movie suitable for viewing by all ages. We had a Scooby Dooby Doo of a time watching it during our family movie night watching this King Arthur and the Knights of Camelot inspired tromp through England with Mystery Incorporated.

Take a journey back in time to King Arthur's court in this legendary saga of wizards, knights, dragons ... and Scooby Doo! An evil sorceress tries to seize power in Camelot, so King Arthur needs the help of our favorite super sleuths to save his throne. But will their valiant efforts only make things royally worse? This new movie serves up laughter on a platter with Scooby and Shaggy ready to dig in!

scooby doo the sword and the scoob

Parents are sure to appreciate that this movie goes back to Scooby Doo's roots on Saturday morning cartoons from the 60s - 80s in that The Sword and the Scoob has plot twists with spooky themes but in the end the villains are people in costume attempting a con not "real" monsters like that have been portrayed in more recent Scooby Doo cartoons. Though there may be a bit of authentic magic in the story! Plus I really geeked out about there being lots of references to a number of other classic Hanna-Barbera cartoons mixed into Scooby Doo The Sword and The Scoob. Thundarr!

You can get Scooby-Doo The Sword and the Scoob on DVD from Best Buy. Purchase this animated movie through a Geek Daddy affiliate link and this dad blogger will receive a small commission at not additional expense to you. Your support of ageekdaddy.com is always appreciated!
