DEMONCODE ADDS HORROR ICON TO ITS CAST

If you are a fan of horror movies, here is one that is in development that you may want to keep an eye out for ... DemonCode. Written and directed by Dr. Corey Trahan, a quantum physicist and filmmaker, DemonCode's production team promises that this horror movie will fuse real-world scientific theory with metaphysical horror, delivering a cerebral and unsettling experience. While the full story details remain under wraps, Trahan believes DemonCode will challenge genre conventions with its bold vision and deeply atmospheric approach.

Adding some Hollywood cred to this film project, horror icon Doug Bradley, known for his portrayal of Pinhead in Clive Barker’s Hellraiser franchise, has officially joined the cast of this upcoming horror movie. Bradley will play a critical and mysterious role at the heart of the film’s dark mythology, The Maker.

NIGHT SWIM HORROR MOVIE NOW ON HOME VIDEO

ROYAL OAK HOSTING WORLD PREMIERE OF NEW HORROR FLICK

Emagine Entertainment will be hosting the North American Red Carpet Movie Premiere of Dark Planet Releasing’s highly anticipated horror movie Thorns, at their Royal Oak, MI theatre on Saturday, February 17, 2024. The premiere will feature red carpet arrivals by key cast and crew including horror film legend Doug Bradley, and Michigan natives, Writer and Director, Doug Schulze and Editor and Co-Producer Julie Schulze. There will also be a live Q&A prior to the film hosted by Anthony LaVerde, CEO of Emagine Entertainment. Emagine Royal Oak is located at 200 N. Main Street in Royal Oak, Michigan. In Thorns, Archbishop Jenkins (played by Doug Bradley) mentors an ex-priest working for NASA who is sent to investigate a remote observatory that went silent after receiving a mysterious radio signal from deep space. Upon arrival, he discovers the signal opened a portal unleashing a thorned monster. The former priest must now summon his lost faith to stop the signal from spreading hell on earth.

Thorns will have a limited engagement beginning February 23 at select Emagine theaters before a wider release later in 2024. The film will be shown at Emagine Royal Oak, Emagine Canton, Emagine Novi, and Emagine Rochester Hills during its first run. Thorns, which was shot entirely in Michigan at the Motion Pictures Institute in Troy and in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, was created by Michigan based independent filmmakers Doug and Julie Schulze.

The Red-Carpet event begins at 6:30 on Saturday, February 17. At 7:00pm Doug Bradley and Doug Schulze will answer questions from the audience during a live Q&A. Thorns has played to rave reviews and enthusiastic audiences at film festivals worldwide, including Sitges Brigadoon Festival, Fright Fest in London, Monsters of Film and was the closing night film at the New York City Horror Film Festival. Disney's Toy Story movies made the remarkable notion of toys coming alive an amazing and adorable experience for movie viewers. Now Warner Bros has taken that same theme and made it terrifying for horror movie fans. TOYS OF TERROR brings to life a frightful scenario that you may not want to watch with the lights off. Rated R for horror and violence this is a movie I'm going to wait until the kids are in bed to watch because if they saw it I'm assured not to be getting any sleep having them up with nightmares.

David and Hannah Cashman have promised their family a fun Christmas getaway, but when they arrive at a grand old house in the snowy woods of Washington they are greeted by a familiar construction foreman. The kids realize they've been duped and the parents plan a working vacation renovating the place in hopes of flipping it.

Alicia, the eldest child, is annoyed but her younger siblings are soon distracted when wandering through the creepy mansion they discover a stash of old toys in an abandoned playroom. Before long the kids seem to be inseparable from their new playthings much to consternation of their nanny Rose who, along with Alicia, senses that something in the house is not quite right.

As stranger and stranger things start to happen, Rose and Alicia have a hunch that there may be more to the history of the old house than the Cashman parents are letting on. Can the family escape with their lives or will they stay forever in this crumbling house never to celebrate another Christmas again?

The kids and wife were in bed for the night but I couldn't fall asleep. So decided to stay up and watch some TV. There really wasn't anything on television so decided to watch a new movie Universal Pictures sent me to check out called YOU SHOULD HAVE LEFT. A spooky horror movie to watch late at night.

Starring Kevin Bacon (Footloose, Hollow Man) and Amanda Seyfried (Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, Les Misérables) this movie was originally slated to appear in theaters last Spring. With the pandemic closing movie theaters though, Universal Pictures recently released the movie instead on digital and DVD. Written and directed by David Koepp (Stir of Echoes), this psychological thriller from Blumhouse Productions (which has emerged as the horror king of the 21st Century creating movies including Paranormal Activity, The Purge, Halloween, The Invisible Man, Ouija, and Ma) is based on a novel by German literary sensation, Daniel Kehlmann.



Theo Conroy (Kevin Bacon) is a wealthy banker married to a much younger woman who is trying to make a name for herself as an actress in Hollywood. Trying to stabilize a troubled marriage, Theo and Susanna (Amanda Seyfried) along with their six year old daughter head to the Welsh countryside for a relaxing family vacation. Things quickly begin to unravel on their arrival as they begin  to experience nightmares that cause their reality to blur into confusion and terror.

Then a mysterious spectral figure begins to intervene. Are they being haunted or is this all just taking place within Theo's mind? Is Theo having a mental breakdown or is the whole family in danger from a haunted house? Is this a spectral intervention or a nervous breakdown? Will the Conroy family ever be able to leave this vacation house or will it be their final resting place? You'll have to watch YOU SHOULD HAVE LEFT to find out!
