BABYLON 5 THE COMPLETE SERIES

Thanks to Warner Bros Home Entertainment for sending this science fiction fan an early Christmas present by giving their favorite Geek Daddy a free box set of Babylon 5: The Complete Series on Blu-ray. I am so GEEKED to binge watch this sci-fi tv show this holiday season! Available now on Blu-ray for the first time ever are all 110 original episodes of the Babylon 5 television series. And each episode has been fully remastered in high definition! 

Babylon 5 is a space opera created by writer and producer J. Michael Straczynski that ran for five seasons from 1994-1998. The critically acclaimed science fiction show debuted in 1993 with the pilot film The Gathering. The series then launched a year later for 110 episodes. Each season corresponded to one year taking place between 2257-2262 in the future. Babylon 5 was the first series to introduce viewers to the concept of a five year story arc with a defined beginning, middle and end.

It is the Earth year 2258. Five hostile federations dominate the outermost regions of space. Heroes, thieves, and exotic beings find refuge in a time of uneasy peace and constant threat of war on a lone space station -- the last and best hope for peace between a hundred worlds, alien and human alike -- Babylon 5.

Babylon 5 stars Bruce Boxleitner, Michael O'Hare, Claudia Christian, Jerry Doyle, Mira Furlan, Andrea Katsulas, Peter Juraski, Richard Biggs, Andrea Thompson, Stephen Furst, Bill Mumy, Tracy Scoggins, Jaspon Carter, Robert Rusler, Jeff Conaway, Patricia Tallman and Mary Kay Adams. In addition to all 110 episodes, Babylon 5: The Complete Series also includes the pilot movie The Gathering. Each of the original episodes from the tv show has a 43 minute runtime.

In celebration of its 30th anniversary, Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment is releasing the groundbreaking original sci-fi TV series Babylon 5 on Blu-ray for the first time ever! On December 5, just in time for holiday gift giving, Babylon 5: The Complete Series will be available at online retailers with all 110 original episodes fully remastered in HD. 

The highly anticipated release is one fans don’t want to miss! Babylon 5 is an American space opera television series created by writer and producer J. Michael Straczynski that ran for five seasons from 1994–1998. The critically acclaimed franchise debuted in 1993 with the pilot film The Gathering. The series then launched a year later and ran for five seasons and 110 additional episodes. 

A future-history story covering the years 2257–2262, with each year corresponding to one season, Babylon 5 was the first series to introduce viewers to the concept of a five-year arc, with a defined beginning, middle, and end, paving the way for a number of such later series. BABYLON 5 ANIMATED MOVIE

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the debut of the sci-fi television series BABYLON 5 and fans of the show will be GEEKED to find out the crew of the space station the show revolves around are returning for a new adventure in an animated movie. Series creator J. Michael Straczynski returns with a story about the iconic Babylon 5 space station and its inhabitants as they take a journey through the past to determine the future. BABYLON 5: THE ROAD HOME is being released on August 15, 2023 digitally and on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-Ray from Warner Bros Discovery Home Entertainment. 

Return to Babylon 5 as the epic interstellar saga continues with The Road Home. Travel across the galaxy with John Sheridan as he unexpectedly finds himself transported through multiple timelines and alternate realities in a quest to find his way back home. Returning to voice their characters from the original series are Bruce Boxleitner as John Sheridan, Claudia Christian as Susan Ivanova, Peter Jurasik as Londo Mollari, Bill Mumy as Lennier, Tracy Scoggins as Elizabeth Lochley, and Patricia Tallman as Lyta Alexander. This animated science fiction flick is rated PG-13 by the Motion Picture Association of America for action/violence and has a runtime of 78 minutes. Included with the movie are a featurette providing a behind-the-scenes look at the making of BABYLON 5: THE ROAD HOME and audio commentary by creator/writer/executive producer J. Michael Straczynski and actor Bruce Boxleitner giving inside details about their experiences with the tv series and this new addition to the franchise.

COMET TV DECEMBER GIVEAWAY

For awhile it looked like traditional over the air television was dying out the same way things such as cassette tapes and landline telephones have gone extinct due to advances in technology.
