JOIN IN CAMP WARNER BROS

Sponsored by Warner Bros Home Entertainment
teen titans

We've been having a super time this summer participating in Camp Warner Bros. activities during our pandemic staycation. This week's activities involve one of my kids favorite superhero teams THE TEEN TITANS so we wanted to let you all join us in the fun. So I'm sharing a stay at home activity that Teen Titans fans are sure to like plus hosting a giveaway for a digital code for the action-packed animated mash-up movie - Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans.

Have yourself a family movie night enjoying Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans. In Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans, the comedic modern-day quintet takes on their 2003 Cartoon Network counterparts when villains from each of their worlds join forces to pit the two Titan teams against each other. They’ll need to set aside their differences and work together to combat Trigon, Hexagon, Santa Claus (that’s right, Santa!) and time itself in order to save the universe.

Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans is available on Blu-ray and DVD from Best Buy. If you purchase this animated movie via ageekdaddy.com affiliate link this dad blogger will receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. Your support is appreciated!

Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans is also available on Digital. Complete the Rafflecopter entries below before 11:59 pm on August 9, 2020 for a chance to win. Must be a United States resident over 18 years old to be eligible for this giveaway. Good luck!

Gain control of your own Titans Tower – and give the kids in your life a lesson of earning, motivation, and accountability by offering allowance for their Summer Chores! Let them save their money in their very own Character Banks featuring the images of the Teen Titans.

While chores can be a bore – you can figure out small incentives to help your at home summer campers learn about the value of the dollar, and working hard for something they really want. You can teach budgeting and saving to help set them up for their future. If they feel like being real Super Heroes – they can even do chores for charity – and have them donate to a cause that can save someone else’s Universe!

Hope you will join us in participating in Camp Warner Bros by crafting a character bank and having a family movie night watching Teen Titans Go! Vs Teen Titans. Stay tuned for more updates from ageekdaddy.com on how to have a safe, super summer staycation. Well get through this pandemic together!

CAMP WARNER BROS

SPONSORED BY WARNER BROS HOME ENTERTAINMENT
dad blogger
My kids are bummed out that their plans to go to sleepaway camp this year have been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Looks like this summer is going to be a staycation for them. So we appreciate Warner Bros reaching out to ageekdaddy.com about having us participate in a summer full of activities that my son and daughter can enjoy around our house. My family is geeked to be a part of the inaugural CAMP WARNER BROS!

Our Camp Warner Bros welcome pack just arrived this weekend. It included shirts and hats for the kids as well as a "Camp Director" set for me. Plus they threw in some other goodies for our Camp Warner Bros experience including a Tie Dye kit.  Which do you prefer? Should we stick with the white shirts to do our Camp Warner Bros activities in or tie dye them?

TEEN TITANS COMPLETE SERIES

The original run of the Cartoon Network Teen Titans cartoons (2003-2006) were broadcast before my kids were even born. So they weren't familiar with these characters until we recently watched the movie Teen Titans Go! vs Teen Titans for a family movie night. They really enjoyed the movie and have been asking me about watching that original animated series ever since we saw Teen Titans Go! vs Teen Titans.

I wasn't sure how we might be able to see those past seasons of Teen Titans as it has been awhile since they were broadcast on television. Just so happens though that the Warner Archive Collection is releasing the complete Teen Titans series on Blu-ray starting December 3, 2019. Coming out in time for holiday shopping, looks like I found a Christmas present for the twins.

Teen Titans: The Complete Series includes all 65 episodes of the Cartoon Network show that ran for five seasons (2003-2006) contained in a 6-disc collection. This Blu-ray bundle also includes the following bonus content:

"Finding Their Voices" (featurette)
“Comic Creations: From Comic Book to Cartoon” (featurette)
 Puffy AmiYumi (featurette)
“Catching Up With ... Teen Titans” (featurette)
“Teen Titans: Know Your Foes” (featurette)
Teen Titans: Friends and Foes” (featurette)
Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo (feature film)
 The Lost Episode (bonus episode)

Pick up Teen Titans: The Complete Series on Blu-ray from Best Buy. If you pre-order it from Best Buy using this link, a small commission will be provided to this dad blogger at no additional expense to you. Thanks for supporting ageekdaddy.com!

Teen Titans GO! to the Movies

After trick-or-treating on Halloween it was time to have some fun watching one of my kids' favorite summer movies which just came out on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital … Teen Titans GO! to the Movies.  With a bunch of candy on hand to snack on the twins were hyped up to see this movie again which seemed only fitting as this animated feature film is a high energy adventure filled with tongue-in-cheek comedy and musical numbers that had my son and daughter laughing and singing throughout the show. While rated PG for action sequences (superhero fight scenes) and rude humor (fart jokes), Teen Titans GO! to the Movies' content really is kid-appropriate and parents will find it a great selection to watch for family movie nights along with their children.

It seems like all the superheroes are getting their own movies -- everyone but the Teen Titans that is!  Determined to be a star, Robin (voiced by Scott Menville / TV's "Spider-Man") vows to change this. If only their team of supehero sidekicks could get Hollywood director Jade Wilson (Kristen Bell / "Frozen") to notice them. With a few madcap ideas along with some musical performances, the Teen Titans head to Tinsel Town. But when Supervillain Slade (Will Arnett / The LEGO Movie) messes with their plans, Robin along with teammates Beast Boy (Greg Cipes / TV's "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles"), Cyborg (Khary Payton / TV's "The Walking Dead"), Raven (Tara Strong / "My Little Pony" franchise) and Starfire (Hynden Walch / TV's "Adventue Time with Finn & Jake) will have to become true superheroes to save the world!

Based upon the Cartoon Network's Teen Titans GO! this upbeat, energetic movie filled with exciting action scenes and humorous follies involving a group of teenagers with super powers is the first-ever big screen adaption of the hit animated television series known for taking a sarcastic approach to telling tales about DC Entertainment's cast of characters.  Of course, the home video releases always contain bonus features and Teen Titans GO! to the Movies wasn't going to let you down! The Blu-ray Combo Pack, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment sent ageekdaddy.com to review in addition to containing the movie on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital also included the following extras:
  • Lil Yachty Music Video: "Teen Titans GO! Rap"
  • "DC Super Hero Girls: The Late Batsby" Mini-Movie
  • Sing-a-long to the Songs of Teen Titans GO! to the Movies
  • Red Carpet Mayhem featurette
  • Teen Titans GO! to the Movies: WB Lot Shenanigans Spoof Video
  • "Everything is Fake" exclusive song movie deleted scene
  • Storyboard Animatics: Time Cycles + Final Battle
Teen Titans GO! to the Movies will make a great addition to your home entertainment video library that children will want to watch over and over again.  In addition to being able to buy the movie now at most major retailers where new release Blu-rays and DVDs are sold, Teen Titans GO! to the Movies is available to purchase in high definition and standard definition from digital retailers including Amazon, FandangoNow, iTunes, PlayStation, Vudu, and Xbox. Plus purchasing the movie from any of these digital outlets will allow you to watch it from the Movies Anywhere cloud service on a variety of devices including Amazon Fire, Android, Apple TV, Chromecast, iPhone and iPad, and Roku as well as on PCs through a number of popular browsers. You aren't handcuffed on having to watch the films you purchase through certain platforms (Amazon, iTunes, Google, etc.) or on specific devices (like being Android or Apple exclusive based upon where you bought the movie) when utilizing Movies Anywhere.

Have yourself a super Teen Titans GO! family movie night! For more information about the film, visit warnerbros.com/teen-titans-go-movies

FREE COMIC BOOK DAY IS GREAT FOR PRESCHOOLERS & EARLY READERS

I've been taking my children to FREE COMIC BOOK DAY for the last several years although they've been too young to read themselves.  This event on the first Saturday of May is when publishers team up with comic book shops to promote their industry to consumers by offering free samples to anyone who visits participating stores that day (well that is while supplies last because most stores normally run out of stock by mid-afternoon).  My kids flip through the pages enjoying the artwork and have me read the stories to them for weeks following our FREE COMIC BOOK DAY visit.  Sharing comic books with my kids through this annual event has been a fun day of bonding with my son and daughter while promoting creativity, imagination, and reading with my children.

FREE COMIC BOOK DAY had done a nice job of making sure the event provides a selection of comics targeted to preschoolers and early readers that parent can feel comfortable giving to their children.  This year's event is on Saturday, May 3, 2014 and will be featuring ten titles suitable for young readers including:

Published by PERFECT SQUARE this comic features all new adventures featuring Hello Kitty and her friends.  It will also feature a sneak peek of an upcoming tribute book celebrating Hello Kitty's 40th anniversary.

In FANTAGRAPHIC BOOKS "A Matter of some Gravity" saucy sorceress Magica De Spell turns Scrooge's life sideways-literally! when she distorts the forces of gravity.

PAPERCUTZ brings the Smurfs to Free Comic Book Day.  This comic features never-before-seen stories from Peyo starring everyone's favorite blue bombshell: the Smurfette! It's Smurftastically FREE!

ARCHIE COMIC PUBLICATIONS is bringing Sonic the Hedgehog & Mega Man to the party.  It is providing TWO free comic books in ONE.  It will showcase storylines from both characters' universes in a flipsided combined issue.

BOOM ENTERTAINMENT will feature samples from all their popular children's series including Peanut & Garfield.

Two years ago ARCHAIA published an incredible hard cover Free Comic Book Day edition featuring its popular MOUSE GUARD series.  ARCHAIA continues to be one of the leading supporters of this event by publishing another great hard cover comic book this year!

CAPSTONE is celebrating its award winning series JELLABY.  This comic book about ten year old Portia and her beloved purple monster Jellaby will feature two short stories, including the exclusive, never-before-in-print adventure "The Knot."

DC COMICS will also be providing a TEEN TITANS issue for Free Comic Book Day.
